# Video brief: Geology Delivery Manager

## The video

**Tell us why you want this job, and why you would be good at it.** Two to three minutes.

You do not need marketing experience, and we mean that. If you do not have it, do not
pretend. Tell us what you have done that carries over.

## Using AI

Use it to prepare if you like. Read the job description with it, or think through which of
your experiences are relevant.

Do not let it write your script. Every AI-written answer to "why do you want this job"
sounds the same, and those are the ones we filter out. Only you know why you want it, so say
it in your own words.

## How to record it

We are not looking for a polished video. We are looking at how you communicate an idea.

- Shoot it on your phone, or record it on your laptop. Either is fine.
- **Make sure we can hear you.** Clear audio matters more than a clear picture.
- **Do not read a script off the screen.** Make notes by all means, then put them away and
  shoot. You will not have notes in a client meeting, and it is obvious on camera when
  someone is reading.
- Make yourself presentable, and get reasonable light on your face.

## How to upload

Put the video somewhere we can watch it, and send us the link.

- **Google Drive.** Upload it, then set sharing to "Anyone with the link".
- **YouTube.** Upload it as Unlisted, not Private. Private means only you can watch it.
- **Loom**, or anything else that plays in a browser.

Open your own link in a private browsing window before you send it. If it does not play
there, it will not play for us either.
